For ALL Sr. High youth!!!! Due to the crowded confines of the church and the inability to really find a suitable space to have Youth focused Sunday School we will be meeting weekly (10 AM till 10:40 AM) at the Caribou Coffee located at the corner of High House Rd. and Cary Pkwy. Be ready for topical discussions that encourage spiritual growth and faith discernment! It'll be fun! Bring a few dollars and we can share some coffee, laughs, re-connect, and grow together spiritually! Full-Contact Putt-Putt this weekend for all children/youth between 3rd and 12th grade! Right now over 50 participants are scheduled to attend from Disciples churches around the area. Bring your friends & family for a good time! PLEASE contact Randy at the church office to RSVP for this event! Cost will be $5 per person (scholarships available). We will try and leave from Covenant around 5:30 PM and carpool to Frankies! NEWS FLASH!!!

Covenant's Youth will be heading back to the Hurricane ravaged area of New Orleans once again to help those who are still trying to piece their lives back together! We will be participating in Disciples of Christ mission efforts in southern La. Stay tuned for more details. HELP!!!!

Covenant's annual Easter Egg Hunt is right around the corner (April 11th, 2009) and we need some help!!! We'll have several stations and each one will need at least two volunteers. I know last years crowd was substantial, however, we hope to show Cary and the surrounding neighborhood what Covenant is really made of in 2009! Please contact Randy at the church (randy-ccc@bellsouth.net or 919-481-4715) as soon as possible to discuss how you can make this year's Easter Egg Hunt a HUGE success! This includes youth who can help us hand out flyers to the community! Come One, Come All and make this one an event to remember!

Kids to Kids: Giving Back to the Church!

All children and families interested in particpating in April's Kids to Kids activities, please plan to meet at the church on Saturday, April 18, from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. to clean up brush and do some planting in the garden. We will be working with the Men's Ministry and the Gardeners of Hope. This is a time to work hard and have fun getting dirty. If you have any questions, please contact Jay or Jody at 460-2820. Full-Contact Putt-Putt Anyone???

Calling all 3rd – 12th graders! Hillyer Memorial Christian Church has invited all Disciples churches in the area to Frankies Fun Park on March 29th (6 PM to 7:30 PM) to partake in a “full-contact putt-putt tournament”. "Full Contact" simply means that each "team" will have a set of instructions that correlates with each hole - they will meet each other as well as members from other teams, switch teams, etc etc - hence the "full contact" part - our goal is to "make contact" with those around us. Family members and friends are all invited! Calling All CYFers...

Ladies and gentlemen who are in 9th through 12th grade, this message is for you. Saturday ( 3/21/09) at 10 AM we will be having a meeting at the Rivers' home in Cary. We will be discussing up-coming events and this summer's mission trip. Anyone who is interested in going with us on the mission trip will want to be at this meeting!!! There are a lot of things in store for us over the next couple of months and now's the time to be a part of the planning process. Worship and What?...

For those of you who may not know, Covenant is currently looking to change its 11 AM curriculum for children. Worship and Wonder helps the children learn about God as they experience God. They hear Bible stories in a way that allows them to enter into the stories and form responses out of their own life experiences. We are excited about the opportunity to incorporate new and exciting educational tools for our children! For more information about Worship and Wonder check out Disciples Home Missions page. If you are interested in finding out more about Covenant’s plan to implement this curriculum please contact Randy Holste in the church office @ 481-4715 for more information. Furthermore, Covenant would like to have representation from our church at the next training sessions (June 5-7 in Greenville, NC). If you are interested in helping Covenant plan, develop, & implement this phenomenal ministry please notify the church office as soon as possible!

Calling all Bible Buddies/Young Disciples Volunteers...

We thank all of our volunteers for their hard work and dedication to Covenant and its children’s ministry programs - we could not do it without you! The new volunteer schedule for 11 AM Bible Buddies & Young Disciples class is complete! Please check the church newsletter to make sure the days/times scheduled for you or your family are acceptable. If there are conflicts with regards to scheduling, please “swap” with another volunteer and notify the church as soon as possible! Covenant’s annual Easter Egg Hunt and Easter Extravaganza is fast approaching! Calling all Children, Youth, & Families of Covenant Christian Church…

As many of you know when the birds begin to sing and the flowers and trees begin to bloom so does our “Garden of Hope”. It truly is a special time of year! For the youth, children, and their families, we want to make this a special time where we can come and not only cultivate and nurture our garden, but also your relationship with each other as well. Join us on March 21st at 8 AM for our first workday in the garden. Throughout the spring and summer months there will be special projects specifically for our children/youth with regards to the garden, however, until the ground/soil are prepared for planting we can do nothing. So bring your gardening tools and help us prepare the way for new life. You will be amazed at what God can do through us. See it first hand as we strengthen our lives in the Garden of Hope!
