Kids 2 Kids - THIS SATURDAY!!!!

The children & families of Covenant Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Cary, NC are about to embark on a remarkable journey. Next Saturday our children (grades K – 5) will be traveling to the Islamic Association of Raleigh (IAR) to tour their facility & participate in an afternoon prayer service with members of the center.

To make this work for EVERYONE, we are giving you TWO options for transportation. Those of you who feel comfortable about finding your way to the IAR are welcome to meet us at the center around 1 PM (808 Atwater St., Raleigh, NC 27607 – 919-834-9572 ). Those of you who may need assistance finding your way or need a ride, simply join us at the church @ 12:30, our caravan will be leaving the parking lot at 12:40! Our tour should conclude around 2 PM (we will be back @ the church by 2:30 PM for those needing a ride). Call Randy @ the church office for further details or email him with your questions &/or concerns.

Youth Lock-In Tomorrow Night! (5th - 12th grade)

Hello all Covenant Youth... Just a reminder this Friday night (1/28/11) we have a Covenant ONLY youth Lock-In! We'll eat - watch movies - play games - & fellowship! Be sure to bring your friends, and come prepared to have a good time!

What to Bring:
*YOUR FRIENDS
*$5 to cover food costs (Pizza & Breakfast)
*snacks to share.
*sleeping bags
*pillows
*YOUR FAVORITE MOVIE
*PJs
*Air mattress (optional)

What NOT to Bring:
*I-pod
*video gaming device
*anything that will separate you from the group

"Fireside Chat" - HELP!

This year @ Covenant we are embarking on a truly amazing journey - celebrating 25 years of service and spiritual formation!!! Although, the actual Anniversary is in November, we have a stellar line-up of speakers & guests leading the way to November's glorious event!

It all starts THIS SUNDAY (January 23rd) when...

*10a Dr. Glenn Carson will meet in the sanctuary with all interested adults.

*11a Dr. Glenn Carson, President of the Disciples of Christ Historical Society will be guest preacher

*5p Chili supper & fireside chat with Covenant’s founding minister, Rev. Bob Mooty & founding-era members sharing their stories of how we (Covenant Christian Church) came to be.

This is where you come in...WE NEED HELP setting up the sanctuary/fellowship hall for Sunday Night's event (FIRESIDE CHAT). The program begins @ 5 PM, however, we need young bodies to help us slide tables & chairs around to set-up the room for the party! If you are interested and can help - please contact me ASAP so we can put you down as a helper. If you can't come to help - AT LEAST join us, with your families in tow to be a part of this amazing event! All are welcome & it is COMPLETELY FREE!

Jelly Beans - THIS FRIDAY!!!

Calling All 5th - 12th graders...

"Skate Night" @ Jelly Beans THIS FRIDAY NIGHT! (Jan. 7th.) You can ride with us or you can meet us at Jelly Beans if it makes more sense to your family, just let me know. At this time Karen N. & Randy H. are chaperoning this event, however, parents are welcome to join us as always! BRING A FRIEND, it'll be fun way to ring in the NEW YEAR!

FYI:
-Cost - $10 for skate rental & admission.
-Time - Leaving Covenant @ 6:45, back @ Covenant around 9:30.
-Snacks/Drinks are available ($$$).
-Come ready to ring in the new year and have some FUN!
